I went with the Vigilance theme for now – it seemed to do everything I wanted it to without me having to do too much tweaking. I wanted a site that was comparable to Life of Leo… or Amber MacArthur‘s site… as far as I know they both use WordPress (though Amber Mac may use TypePad or something similar).
Typically I would roll my own using Freshy or Dkret3 and just modify the crap out of it, but since this theme has the simplicity I was aiming for down… I think I can skip it for now and move on to my other projects!

Okay, version 2.0 of my website is up…
