Wait, What? China?

Homeless, But Happy

BusinessWeek recently wrote about China’s economic end-run around the US with the following passage:

Rebalancing the economies of China and other Asia nations “is perhaps the most important thing we can do to restore growth and jobs in the U.S.,” explains one senior White House official.

Really? The most important thing?  Not like, uh… lambasting those greedy bastards in Citigroup, Bank of America, AIG, and Wells Fargo to give back the taxpayers money?

How about requiring that those banks start making good faith loans to small businesses or entrepreneurs so they can hire more people?  Or using that money to forgive taxpayer debt?  Or fix ballooning mortgage interest rates?

Instead, BusinessWeek thinks we should be more concerned about the price of tea in China?

Who the hell do you guys think you are?  Fucking help us to fix things here, dipshits!  Is Kaptur the only one who gets it?

I don't get it. As written above, the quote is attributed to “one senior white house official,” but it looks like you're saying that's Business Week's opinion. Which is it really?
